Teamwork Flat Out at Work and Play

There've been a number of factors in B & L Steel's success,' said Aaron Lynch one of the business partners and son of its founders Peter and Gail Lynch.

'We have set goals and when we have reached them, we've then immediately set new one's', he said. 'It's also taken sheer guts and determination to help us achieve them, but without doubt, one of the main reasons for our success has been teamwork'.

The steel fabrication family business was established by Peter and Gail Lynch way back in the early 1970's, with help from Aaron Clark of CKG Partners.

'This help has played an integral part in the development of our business and has flowed on to our private affairs as well. We've all benefited from Aaron Clark and his firm's advice over the years. The extra effort he and his team put in and his understanding of our business affairs has played a key part in our success'.

'We also focus on our customers needs and much of our growth has been driven by their success. As they've grown, we grown', Aaron said.

Today, Peter whose primary role is to supervise the businesses construction contracts, runs the business on an equal basis with his two sons; Aaron who manages administration and Glen who manages the workshop and procurement.

'Another reason for our success is our team of people. With over 40 people working in our affiliated organizations, it's with pride that we're able to say we have staff who have been with us since Mum and Dad started,' Aaron said.

And to relax ... Aaron goes from 0 to 393.2 km/hr in just 5.97secs!

Recently the Lynch team, which includes the family and supporters, raced the worlds fastest 400 metres for a 'Top Door Slammer'. That's a modified saloon car for the uninitiated.

But there is method behind the interest. While their hobby is not the cheapest of past times, they have used their stable of dragsters to successfully build the brand awareness of their business.

'Again, much of this success is owed to great team work. We even get Aaron Clark from CKG Partners down to the strip for a bit of relaxation!' Aaron Lynch said with a laugh.
